Dorset Orthopaedic is delighted to introduce a new product for 2005 - the SAFO Walk. The Silicone Ankle Foot Orthosis range was developed for sufferers of drop foot condition as a more comfortable, practical and discrete alternative to the rigid AFO’s traditionally prescribed.
The SAFO Walk is a more affordable version of this bespoke product and comes in 3 skin tone colours and has external velcro straps - see image.
Bob Watts of Dorset Orthopaedic comments, “The Silicone AFO is the most advanced orthotic device to be developed in the last 30 years and it has already been given a Queens’ Award for Innovation. A change in design has allowed us to reduce the manufacturing time of our traditional SAFO and as a result we are able to offer the SAFO Walk at a dramatically reduced price.
